Beit is a chavura for adults. We meet at members’ homes once a month  for a service, potluck and discussion. We often to celebrate Shabbat  at a on Friday evening or hold a Havdalah service on Saturday  evening. We  are working on an annual calendar of monthly topics and  themes for discussion. Sometimes we participate in additional  activities, such as the Contra Costa Jewish Film Festival or peace  marches. Our monthly gatherings include holiday celebrations; our  potlucks are enjoyed by all-- but dreaded by weight-watchers.

We are planning an ongoing Tikkun Olam project, and we also  participate in and help to organize activities undertaken by the Shir Neshamah community as a whole such as High Holiday services and the annual Shavuot celebration on Mt. Diablo.
